So, here’s a song which I couldn’t resist myself from posting in my personal blog. Since a few days, I was noticing this video (khai by Bartika Eam Rai) shared in Facebook and people using the lyrics as a caption. I used feel like the daily routing of a normal person in Nepal is being described in words.

Bartika Eam Rai

Today I went through this song and I was really impressed by the lyrics. The music is so melodious, one that can provide you the real ‘serenity’. Additionally, her voice is too damn sweet. Each and every line of the lyrics, they are so genuine that you can compare to your own life and say, “she is damn right.”
Bartika Eam Rai, a very unknown name in Nepali music industry. But, I can smell with such debut song she gonna rise soon. The most shocking thing indeed is that the lyrics, music and voice, everything is her’s. Such a talent I would say.

I am astounded and get yourself too going thorough this video once.
P.s. Thanks to Diwas Gurung for such amazing Sound Engineering and Sworup Ranjit for the video.

Khai Lyrics!!

Enjoy the Video!!

So, an unknown visitor in my website had asked me if i could translate this beautiful song in English. Following her sincere request, here i have done my best to translate the complete meaning of this song into English.
Check it out and suggest for the modification needed.

Khai in English:

You wake up early in the morning,
And run to catch up your obscure aim,
It’s all about your interest,
Empty, suppressed and dilapidated.
Life has almost ended sitting at a corner of ‘sajha bus’ (local bus),
Your happiness is dwindling in front of you,
What have you done so far?

The castle of your dreams,
That you built once upon a time,
Now, you yourself are burying it,
As you’re so naïve even to understand its vastness.
Go and loose yourself,
Find yourself within you,
Look at yourself,
Since, when you haven’t laughed with an open heart?
Since, when you haven’t lived without any fear?

You searched for love in the market,
Which were nothing but shabby,
You couldn’t understand the emotions,
They change like the seasons.
You wander through the streets in the memories,
You stare at the clouds indefinitely,
Why didn’t you make out till today?
Time has flown by,
You need to move forward with it.

The castle of your dreams,
That you built once upon a time,
Now, you yourself are burying it,
As you’re so naïve even to understand its vastness.
Go and loose yourself,
Find yourself within you,
Look at yourself,
Since, when you haven’t laughed with an open heart?
Since, when you haven’t lived without any fear
